The County Welcomes a New Chief Financial Officer

The County Federal Credit Union is excited to announce that Brad Wolverton has recently joined the credit union as the Chief Financial Officer.

“We are happy to have such an experienced finance professional joining our team,” said Ryan Ellsworth, The County’s president and CEO. “Brad brings auditing and strategic fiscal planning skills to the team.”

Prior to joining The County, Wolverton worked for nine years as the plant controller for Huber Engineered Woods in his childhood hometown of Easton. He is also currently an adjunct accounting professor at the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Before working at Huber, he was with Chester M. Kearney, CPAs, for five years. His first professional role was with The Bradford Group, where he worked for nine years. Throughout his time at The Bradford Group, Wolverton worked in Fort Lauderdale, Boston, and New York City. In New York City, he worked diligently to expand The Bradford Group into the New York City market.

“I am thrilled to help The County take the next step forward in growing throughout our service area,” said Wolverton. “This credit union has strong roots and I look forward to being part of best serving our members.”

Wolverton earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Maine and his MBA from Everest University in Florida. He also obtained a Strategic Leadership Certificate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Wolverton holds a certified public accountant designation. He is on the UMPI’s foundation board and serves on the auditing committee of the Maine School of Science and Mathematics. He is also a past member of Empower Aroostook and Kiwanis Club.

Wolverton enjoys CrossFit, Spartan Races, and spending time with his wife Hollie and son Chase.
