ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Maintain constant communication with clients via email, phone, and mail from application to closing and post-closing.
  2. Develop relationships with attorneys, realtors, appraisers, and vendors about specific client needs.
  3. Maintain contacts and good working relationships with real estate brokers, attorneys, and builders to ensure the organization’s favorable image and provide information regarding current loan policies and procedures.
  4. Support front-end lending services directly with membership in various branches when needed.
  5. Utilize technology to expand mortgage services to a broader reach and facilitate member mortgage services through omnichannel communications.
  6. Assist leadership with developing real estate loan products, including secondary market saleable loans, adjustable-rate mortgages, and lines of credit.
  7. Participate in developing member-facing mortgage technologies that enhance the member borrowing experience.
  8. Receives inquiries from prospective loan clients regarding all types of mortgage and construction loans and provides requested information regarding the organization’s lending policies and procedures.
  9. Offers loan customers products, including a preauthorized payment plan, credit life and disability insurance.
  10. Promotes deposit-related products in select market areas by offering appropriately matched loan and deposit products that benefit the member.
  11. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  12. Physical Requirements: Prolonged sitting (5-8 hours per day), frequent use of hands to manipulate/grasp objects, frequent use of fingers for keyboarding, ability to communicate on the phone and face-to-face with members, occasional bending and lifting from floor height, frequent forward reach, walking distance of 20 feet inside and outside branch throughout the workweek. Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

• Retail Services Manager - Northern Region

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Oversee and lead branch operations, through individual branch managers and front-line personnel to ensure they meet organizational goals and objectives. Monitor retail product delivery quality and take action to resolve problems.
  2. Hire, review, schedule, train, direct, and monitor the work of direct reports; conduct performance reviews; allocate resources to meet operational needs within the department; review and approve, deny, or modify department recommendations for subordinates.
  3. Participate in establishing the annual operations budget and monitoring performance to the budget throughout the year; establish annual sales goals (in conjunction with marketing) for deposit products and initiate actions to achieve goals.
  4. Work with the Marketing Department to understand and recommend branch-level marketing materials, communications, and messages. Ensure branches implement and carry out marketing strategy.
  5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitor rates, terms, products, and other marketplace trends related to lending. Provide timely feedback to allow the credit union to react competitively.
  6. Effectively supervise personnel, ensuring optimal performance:
  7. Provide leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal-setting, delegation, and communication.
  8. Conduct performance appraisals as required and corrective actions if needed.
  9. Conduct interviews and assist with hiring staff in lending departments.
  10. Identify cross-sell opportunities and cross-sell services to members through in-person sales sessions, telephone, written correspondence, and external sales calls.
  11. Reinforce and mentor staff on the importance of cross-selling credit union products.
  12. Contact existing members to maintain and expand banking relationships as well as contact prospective members to develop new business.
  13. Network in the Northern Branch communities to develop new long-term, mutually beneficial relationships, focusing on the promotion of the credit union’s products and services to increase deposits, consumer, real estate, and small business loan relationships.
  14. Active participation in local Chamber of Commerce groups, Economic Development Corporations, and other location organizations.
  15. Build top-of-mind awareness of the credit union and present products and services through phone calls, emails, and in-person visits to community businesses while fostering those relationships and increasing business.
  16. Initiate and maintain contact with business partners (i.e. real estate agencies, attorneys, title companies, etc.) and schedule ongoing visits to promote credit union membership.
  17. Solicits businesses to determine interest in the Credit Union as a benefit for their company. Makes personal visits and solicits new business. Maintains company listings to include but are not limited to contract information, direct deposits, biographical information, directions, and information board history.
  18. Through mentoring, leads staff towards successful community business development strategies for maximizing increased membership, products per member, and all other aspects of member service.

• Branch Manager - Fort Fairfield

A Branch Manager must be passionate about leading an experienced team in underwriting loans, responding to member inquiries, and analyzing financial data. The right candidate must also be able to efficiently assist in the management of the daily operations of a branch. Assist in training and supervision and meet established goals. Develop new business and deepen member relationships while providing superior member service. Promote a positive culture through coaching, guidance, and staff motivation. Interact with members on escalated issues, utilize resources, and provide resolutions within their authorization level.  Ensure employees meet goals and educate members on appropriate products and services. Actively train on updates and changes to policies and procedures and ensure compliance.  Must have excellent organizational as well as oral and written communication skills. This position entails reviewing and processing applications for various loans, including consumer, mortgage, and home equity. Responsibilities include explaining loan policies, evaluating and approving loans, and ensuring members and prospective members are always serviced promptly and professionally—the ability to operate various computer applications, including Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
