Update 8/19/20

After many delays, in large part due to COVID and the receiving of some custom building materials in a timely fashion, our Mars Hill branch is very close to being complete and ready to open. Our contractor should wrap things up very soon, which will allow our IT and Retail Services crews to prepare the branch office to open. It has been a long time coming and we certainly appreciate everyone’s patience. We are now anticipating an early September opening.

The County Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the opening of its newest branch in Mars Hill. “The opening of this branch reflects our on-going commitment to serving the financial needs of our members in Mars Hill, Blaine, Westfield, and Bridgewater communities. It’s been exciting over the years to respond with new services and more convenient locations for our ever-expanding family of members,” said Ryan Ellsworth, The County FCU President, and Chief Executive Officer. “We are thrilled to expand our footprint into the community of Mars Hill. As our tradition has proven, we are a community-focused financial cooperative, we believe our core values and relationship-based philosophy will match well with the needs of the community.”

The new branch’s layout and the floor plan is somewhat non-traditional. The roughly 1200 square-foot-space features a new trend in branch concept with a Teller Pod instead of a teller line, a Coffee/Technology Bar, and a Drive-Up ATM. The one-story branch has a Modern Farmhouse styling and is a full-service facility in downtown Mars Hill located at the intersection of Route 1 and Route 1a, at One Benjamin Street in Mars Hill. “We endeavor to have our branches create an amazing member experience and we genuinely want a human connection to the credit union to drive our business into the future.” Ellsworth added, “The plans are that we will have a soft opening of the new branch in mid- to late July, to get our systems up and running with a Grand Opening planned for later this summer. The pandemic has changed the way we are looking at our Grand Opening but has not dampened our spirit to have a fun event for the community.”

Craig Lincoln, a County native from the Hodgdon area, will have the lead role of Mars Hill Branch Supervisor. Lincoln has five years of experience with the credit union and has provided great member service in each of the positions he has held over the years. “I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to provide our members in the Mars Hill area with our products and services from this brand new building. This branch is a full-service facility giving members all of the options and products that we offer at all our branches. Its location is convenient with the only Drive-Up 24 Hour ATM offered in Mars Hill. We invite the community and businesses of the area to stop by, join our membership, and take advantage of all the convenient financial services ‘The County’ has to offer.”
